About Us


The Ohio State University Health Plan Inc. has been providing health plans and wellness services to more than 23,000 university employees and their dependents since 1991.

As an affiliated entity of the university, OSU Health Plan is contracted through the Office of Human Resources to provide the medical and pharmacy plans, secure the provider network, coordinate claims processing through NGS American Inc., and consult on overall health benefits and plan designs. This level of separation from the university assures confidentiality of employee health and medical information.

In addition, OSU Health Plan houses the The Ohio State University Employee Assistance Program, and provides a number of wellness services through the university’s Your Plan for Health initiative, including biometric health screenings, health coaching, flu vaccinations, educational programming and the annual Rally for Wellness! health fair.
