Call-Ahead Urgent Care: Save Time, Stay Healthier

In an effort to better serve urgent care patients, the University Health Connection has expanded its Urgent Care Walk-in service to include an Urgent Care Call Ahead option. By calling the same day prior to your visit to the campus clinic, you can minimize your time waiting to see a doctor, lessen your exposure to other patients who are ill and decrease the time spent away from work.

Urgent care hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (none on Wednesday) from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Limited appointments are available, so be sure you call ahead – 688-0300 – to reserve your same-day urgent care appointment. You may begin calling as early as 8:15 a.m.

New Patient Packet

The New Patient Packet contains a number of forms and policies you will need to review, complete and sign prior to your first appointment at University Health Connection.

Eligibility

Any Ohio State faculty or staff member or dependent older than 18 years of age enrolled in one of the university’s medical plans is eligible to use the clinic.

Parking Recommendations:
With the construction currently underway around Parks Hall, access to UHC has become increasingly difficult. Therefore, we recommend the following parking solutions:

Staff with "A" passes park in the North and South Cannon garages
Staff with "B" passes park in the polo lot off Cannon Drive
The Campus Area Bus Service (CABS) has two bus routes that stop in close proximity to Parks Hall:

The Campus Loop South (CLS) route runs every 15 minute. UHC visitors should get off at stop #30
The Medical Center Express (MC) route also runs every 15 minutes and UHC visitors should get off at stop #36

Urgent Care - Call-Ahead for Same-Day Appointment:
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
or until daily capacity is met
(no Urgent Care on Wednesdays)

Primary Care for established patients & by appointment:

1:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays;

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays

Non-Physician Services by appointment:
8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2-5 p.m. Monday through Friday

Cost

The standard $20 copayment will be charged to patients enrolled in Prime Care Advantage, Prime Advantage Value or the in-network option of Prime Advantage Plus. Those enrolled in the out-of-network Prime Advantage Plus or the Independent Choice Plan will be subject to the required deductible and co-insurance of their plan.
